What’s in the bag

Coffee. Chicory.
A little spice.

Chicory gives our Original blend its New Orleans-style character. Paired with coffee and a little spice, it makes the bold, smooth cold brew we’re known for.

We’ve done the grinding and portioning. The filter bags hold the grounds while your coffee brews, so there’s no separate coffee filter to fuss with. When it’s ready, just lift the bags out.

A little brewing goes a long way. Each standard Bean Bag makes three servings when mixed with milk or water, so one box of four bags makes 12 coffees. Stock up and get free shipping on orders over $59.

Let’s get brewing

Grab your pitcher.

These directions are for standard 2 oz Bean Bags. If you have Jumbo bags, follow the directions on your package.

  1. Add water and bags.

Start with 1 Bean Bag and 2 cups (16 fl oz) of water in a clean pitcher. Making more? Use 2 bags and 4 cups of water.

  2. Give them a gentle dunk.

Use the back of a spoon to gently press the bags into the water until they’re just soaked. Be careful not to tear them.

  3. Pop it in the fridge.

Let it brew for at least 12 hours, but no longer than 24. An evening batch will be ready the next morning.

  4. Take the bags out.

Carefully remove the bags without tearing them. You’ve got cold brew concentrate. Keep it covered and refrigerated.

Now for the good part.

Pour equal parts concentrate and milk or water over ice. Give it a taste and adjust from there. A little more concentrate for a stronger glass, a little more milk or water for a lighter one.

Each standard Bean Bag makes three servings when prepared with milk or water.

Good questions

Before you brew.

Do I need a special pitcher?

Nope. A clean, food-safe container with enough room for the water and bags will do. Keep it in the fridge while it brews.

How much should I make?

Make what you’ll drink in a week. Each standard Bean Bag makes three servings when prepared with milk or water. For every bag you add, add another 2 cups of brewing water.

Can I drink it hot?

Absolutely. Mix your concentrate with milk or water and heat until hot, but not boiling.

How do I keep it fresh?

Keep your concentrate covered in the fridge. For the best taste, brew what you’ll drink within a week.
