Build a Better Back-to-School Morning Routine
Back-to-school mornings almost never go the way you think they will.
The dog makes a mess. Your kid decides the shoes they wore all summer are suddenly unwearable. Your hair is doing that one thing you hate. Somebody spills something, somebody forgets something, and somehow you’re already behind before you even leave the house.
We know the feeling. Some of us at Grady’s are parents, some of us are students, and all of us have had mornings where the whole thing starts going sideways before 8 AM.
We’re a little spoiled once we get to work because the coffee more or less flows like a waterfall around here. Getting out the door is the harder part.
After 15 years of back-to-school seasons, the only advice we really have is to make the easy stuff easy. Pack what you can the night before. Put the keys somewhere you’ll actually remember. Check the calendar. Figure out breakfast. And if you’re a coffee person, have that ready too.
That’s one of the nice things about cold brew. You make it ahead of time, stick it in the fridge, and it’s there when you need it. No extra project in the morning, no standing around waiting for something to brew while everyone else is asking where their stuff is.
Of course, none of this guarantees a smooth morning. You can still spill your coffee. The dog can still ruin everything. Someone can still remember at the last possible second that they need poster board for school.
But at least the coffee part was handled.
Make the Coffee Part Easy
The coffee part is the one we can actually help with. Our Bean Bags brew the same concentrate we bottle, except it happens in a pitcher in your fridge. Add water, let it sit overnight, pull the bags out the next day, and it’s done.
One box makes 12 cups and keeps in the fridge for about two weeks, so a batch started on Sunday night generally covers the school week. If your house goes through more than that, there are larger bundles and kits in the same lineup.
Single Bundle Box (Original)
Four Bean Bags, enough for 12 cups. Steep overnight in cold water, pull the bags, and keep the concentrate in the fridge for up to two weeks.
Price $15.95
